Former president Joe Biden passed the most powerful job title in the world to Donald Trump on 20 January and many were present to show their support, including the Trump family.
Also in attendance were fellow former presidents, tech billionaires and many other famous faces.
One photo of a small number of guests has baffled the internet at the sheer incomprehensible combined net worth.
In the photo, we see Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, journalist Lauren Sanchez, engaged to the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos. Google CEO Sundar Pichai as well as the world’s richest man, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk.
Musk alone has a net worth of $428.8 billion (for reference, Trump is worth around $6.8 billion).
Also pictured are Bezos and Zuckerberg. The Amazon founder is worth around $244.4 billion and the Facebook CEO is worth $213.4 billion.
Pichai is worth $1.3 billion after becoming the CEO of Google in 2019.
Sanchez is worth $30 million, being a news anchor, journalist as well as a licensed pilot.
So, these five people alone are worth a grand total of $887.9 billion.
In total, in the rotunda, there were around $1 trillion’s worth – including the fourth and fifth richest people in the world: Oracle founder Larry Ellison ($213.2 billion) and Bernard Arnault ($184.2 billion), the LVMH owner who owns brands like Dior, Louis Vuitton, Moet & Chandon and Sephora.
People commented online, with one writing: “Together they could wipe out the national debt.”
