Michelle Obama shared a statement after husband Barack Obama attended Donald Trump’s inauguration alone.PauseMute

Obama attended the ceremony alone and did not attend the inauguration prayer before at St John’s Episcopal Church or the Inaugural Luncheon.
Alongside Obama were fellow former presidents and their wives, as well as tech billionaires, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook and Elon Musk.
Rupert Murdoch, Joe Rogan and Google CEO Sunda Pichai were also present.
A rumor has been circulating that the couple are headed for divorce after Michelle was absent at Jimmy Carter’s memorial service, due to ‘scheduling conflict’. An insider said: ‘She’s always been very deliberate about where and how she shows up,’.
‘She showed up reluctantly for the election. They were united, but she doesn’t have to unify around [Trump]. Her absence speaks volumes.’
Taking to Instagram, the former first lady shared a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. – with no mention of the inauguration.

She wrote:
‘Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service always inspires me.
This, I hope you’ll join me and in honoring Dr. King’s life and legacy by getting involved in your community. Whether you’re mentoring students at your local school or volunteering for a cause that matters to you, it all helps make a difference. Tell me how you’re giving back today in the comments.’
An insider shared that: ‘They don’t pretend that they have this Camelot relationship. They’re not trying to present that they’re this magical couple.’
It appeared that Barack was attempting to dispel rumors after posting a touching tribute to his wife for her birthday:
‘Happy birthday to the love of my life. You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace – and you look good doing it. I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you!’
