Elon Musk isn’t a particularly popular man right now, with his estranged daughter, ex-lover Grimes, and MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair all calling out the world’s richest man. Others have shared their disdain for him, with Stephen King, Azealia Banks, Michael Keaton, Bernie Sanders, and more being among the eclectic list of names who’ve made their feelings clear.
It seems we can keep Jon Stewart on that list, and having previously shared his beef with the tech mogul, the host of The Daily Show has claimed that Musk has ‘ghosted’ him after ducking out of a challenge.
This bitter feud all started back in February 2025, when Stewart used a segment to mock Elon Musk and his role as the head of the Department of Efficiency. While Musk has vowed to try and cut $2 trillion from government spending amid accusations of waste and fraud, this has come at the cost of thousands of jobs. The backlash has been clear, with calls to boycott Tesla and Musk losing billions from his fortune.

Musk was irked by Stewart, taking to X to claim that The Daily Show is biased against him.
A volley from Stewart saw him invite the Tesla overlord onto the show, with Musk then serving back on the condition that it go out unaired – seemingly trying to allude to the idea that The Daily Show would twist his words.
Stewart even tried to sweeten the deal, trying to tempt Musk onto the show as he added: “I’ll be honest, I don’t think this network makes any other programming. So we can do whatever the f**k we want, as long as we wrap before the new season of South Park comes out.”
Giving us the update we’ve all been waiting for, Stewart revealed where the proposed sit-down is up to these days. Speaking on his podcast, Stewart admitted he’s been ‘left on read’ and explained: “Judging from his most recent revelations of his baby mamas, I think everyone has been left on read at some point by that gentleman…I got left on read, man.”
As well as mocking the current situation between Musk and accusations he secretly fathered a 13th child with St. Clair, Stewart didn’t hold back with the shots when he continued: “I did DM him. I texted him and just said like, ‘Hey man, so is there somebody I should, you know, have our guys reach out to, to make this happen?’ And I got ghosted.”
Suggesting that Musk is under the thumb of the POTUS, Stewart continued: “They keep talking about cancel culture.
“The real cancel culture in this country is anybody who might speak out against Donald Trump, who might be on the right, is immediately exiled.”
Neither Musk nor Donald Trump was safe from the political commentator, with Stewart concluding: “If there’s one thing that this administration does better than anybody I’ve ever seen, it’s play the victim.
“I’ve never seen any people ever, including when my kids were three and two years old, evade accountability and responsibility and blame others in the way that these people do. It’s truly shameless.”
At this rate, it sounds like you’ve got more chance of getting Musk back on SNL than The Daily Show.Featured Image Credit: Paramount+

George Clooney brutally calls out Elon Musk as he blasts billionaire’s ‘Nazi salute’ on stage
He controversially used the footage in his Broadway show
It looks like Elon Musk has found another critic in Hollywood, as George Clooney has called out the divisive figure amid accusations that he performed a ‘Nazi salute’ at President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Even three months after the controversial moment, it seems the world won’t forget it.
While Elon Musk’s fortunes seemed to boom in the aftermath of Donald Trump winning the 2024 American election, it’s been a different story since the President of the United States returned to the White House.
Musk remains contentious due to his heading up the Department of Government Efficiency. As well as calls for Tesla boycotts and the CEO to be fired, we’ve been warned that Musk is facing a ‘code red’ situation.
There have been many who’ve spoken out about the situation, including union bosses, Jimmy Kimmel, and even Musk’s own estranged daughter, Vivianne Wilson.

While it’s true that his father has defended him, we can add Clooney to the growing list of his vilifiers.
Speaking to Patii LuPone for Variety, Clooney explained why he used footage of Musk’s ‘Roman salute’ during his new Broadway production of Good Night, and Good Luck.
Adapting his 2005 historical drama of the same name, Clooney takes on the lead role of journalist Edward R. Murrow. Toward the end, footage of former Fox host Megyn Kelly and Musk’s ‘salute’ moment is played.
Kelly has called Clooney out for not being a journalist, while LuPone quipped: “Neither is she.”
Discussing that big Musk moment, Clooney continued: “People can look at Elon Musk doing his move and go, ‘That’s a Roman salute’. And maybe it is. We put it on a big screen, and we let you make your own decisions.
“Having said that, I will argue that when you retweet a statement that says that Hitler wasn’t responsible for the Holocaust — which he did — then maybe it is a Nazi salute. Maybe.”
LuPone then asked whether Clooney thinks Musk is destroying the government, and when he has time to tweet at him. Taking things on the chin, the Ocean’s Eleven heartthrob made light of when Trump posted on his Truth Social platform and branded the star a “fake movie actor.” Clooney summed up: “Well, the president of the United States sent some nice tweets. It’s funny because he’s just a New York beast. We’ve all known him for 30 years, and he was just a guy chasing women. But whatever. It’s fine. We’re going to get through it.”
LuPone questioned this, with Clooney concluding: “I’m an optimist.”
There’s no love lost between Clooney and Musk, with the former famously angering the Tesla overlord when he dissed his experience owning one of its EV vehicles in a 2013 interview with Esquire. In the end, Clooney flogged his Tesla Roadster for $99,000 and gave the proceeds to charity.Featured Image Credit: Jamie McCarthy / Staff via Getty

Elon Musk reacts to Tesla’s $981,000,000 drop in profits with major statement to investors
Tesla has lost $600 billion in market value since Musk headed DOGE
Elon Musk has responded after Tesla’s profits take a huge hit.
The electric car maker saw a major slump in profits and revenues during the first three months of 2025.
On Tuesday (22 April), the firm reported that its automotive revenue dropped by 20% compared to the same time last year, and profits fell over 70%.
During this time, company boss Musk became President Trump’s Senior Advisor, leading the administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative to cut federal spending and reduce the workforce.
Now, the tech billionaire says he will cut back his role in the White House after admitting that his political commitments had taken his focus off the company.

Starting next month, Musk said his ‘time allocation to DOGE’ would ‘drop significantly.’
Instead, he would spend one to two days per week on his government role ‘as long as the president would like me to do so and as long as it’s useful.’
On the DOGE website, the department claims to have saved the government around $160 billion through cuts.
But those numbers were later challenged, with some larger portions of savings being quietly removed from the program’s website.
Meanwhile, during the same period, Tesla lost around $600 billion in market value. According to the latest earnings report, the US carmaker brought in $19.3 billion (£14.5 billion) in total revenue for the first quarter. This is down 9% from last year’s time and falls short of the $21.1 billion analysts were expecting.
Although Tesla pointed to artificial intelligence as a key driver of future growth, it wasn’t enough to convince investors.
Additionally, the automotive company has mentioned slashing car prices to attract buyers, but it didn’t offset the decline.

In response to investors, the company chose not to give a growth forecast, adding that ‘changing political sentiment’ could hurt demand even more.
Musk’s political participation, donating over $250 million to Trump’s re-election campaign and showcasing Tesla vehicles as a political statement, has also resulted in worldwide protests and boycotts against the brand.
The 53-year-old blamed the ‘blowback’ on people who would ‘try to attack me and the DOGE team,’ adding that his work at DOGE is ‘critical’.
Furthermore, another problem weighing heavily on Tesla’s cap is the new US tariffs on China. While Tesla builds its US vehicles domestically, it still relies heavily on parts manufactured in China. The company explained that a ‘rapidly evolving trade policy’ could disrupt the supply chain and increase costs.
Musk reportedly believed Tesla would be the least affected car company when it came to tariffs, given its localised supply chains in North America.
“I’ll continue to advocate for lower tariffs rather than higher tariffs but that’s all I can do,” the SpaceX founder and CEO stated last Tuesday.
