Sergeant Henry Waller danced with the First Lady on January 20 in celebration of Donald Trump becoming the 47th president.

They were joined by VP JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance as well as members of the military the Marine Corps and the Navy.

Videos shared on social media show Melania dancing and smiling with Waller, even whispering into his ear at one point.

In an interview with Inside Edition, Waller has revealed what they spoke about.

“I walked out on stage. I was trying to contain my composure, but we were told that it’s not like ceremonial composure. We can smile if you want to,” he said.

“I was just overwhelmed with joy being out on the stage where all these people are cheering for me.”

“I asked her how her night was going. She said it was going good. She asked me how mine was. I said, ‘It was fantastic’.”

He then shared whether Melania had some great dancing feet and was a ‘good dancer’ as he said: “Oh, yeah, she’s a really good dancer.”

He revealed to her that the ‘only rehearsing’ he had done had been ‘back home with [his] wife’.
