Mexican artist Enrique Bernal has found a subtle yet majestic way to illuminate his beautiful drawings with life. After the talented artist is done working on his works of art with pencils and pens, Enrique adds a few extra post-production effects, taking his drawings to a whole new level.
The artist uses an app called . One of its features is a digital “glow” that imitates a fluorescent light source, but it would be nothing without Bernal’s clever use of it. Both the angles of the glow and the colors he chooses to make his subjects really pop and create an off-the-paper candescence.

Whether Bernal is simply contouring their face and body or adding mysterious elements to the entire composition — like butterfliers — he always seems to find the right motifs to enhance his pencil drawings of humans and animals.
After further inspection, one can notice that Enrique’s creative ideas are reminiscent of the works by Bulgarian illustrator . He also makes use of a similar technique of lighting that makes the pencil drawings appear as though they are glowing.
Ganev’s cool drawings radiate with a unique mood as well, wherein the glow becomes a feeling of a warm autumn evening with a cup of tea in one pencil sketch and a cool metallic touch of magic in another.

this one should be higher! Love the way it makes it seem like the pen is the light source

These are all incredible, but this one is exceptional! I love how she looks tough, but there’s an undercurrent of vulnerability. Beautiful 😍

Love his work with the highlighting tool and the subtly placed objects in the portraits to give them more depth. She appears from her bandaid on her chest, to have a broken heart, and the emblem on her forehead, idk for sure, makes me feel like she’s still a queen.

She is very beautiful. I think I would’ve liked a bit more lights on her, maybe a different color. Of course his drawing skills are perfection. A peach tone like he used earlier would have given her face a very pretty softness to go with her pouty full lip.
